Classes
Learn the ancient art of weaving jump rings to form beautiful jewelry pieces.
Known as Chainmaille (Chainmail, Maille), this was originally used for Armor. Chainmaille is now also used to create bracelets, necklaces, earrings and even accessories such as bookmarks, cell phone charms and household decorations.
Each class is 2 hours long, one project will be will be taught in each class, two if time permits. Various weaves like the European 4in1, Box chain, Byzantine, Persian, Japanese, plus variations of such weaves will be presented with specific Levels of Skill.
Students should have a basic understanding of opening and closing of jump rings. Bring a magnifier or your glasses as close up work is involved.
We are thrilled to offer these classes at Moody Beads in New Westminster, BC. Cost is $10.00 per class plus materials to be purchased at location.

Skill Level
Level 1: Beginner - Little or no experience.
Level 1/2: Advanced Beginner - A little more experience. Able to open/close rings properly.
Level 2: Advanced - Experience with various beginner weaves. Understanding of basic chainmaille terms.
Level 3: Expert - Experience with most weaves including Micromaille weaving.

Private In-Home Classes
Coming soon in the next couple of months, I will be offering Private Chainmaille Classes.
Classes will be held in the comforts of your own home (I will travel to you), and will be two hours in length.
Fees are approximately $35-$40/student (invite a friend or two to join in) and all tools and materials will be supplied.
